Privacy Policy
How Rentoff collects, uses and protects your personal data
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Rentoff collects when you use the rentoff.uz platform, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what rights you have. It applies to visitors, renters and car owners. By using the platform you agree to the processing described here; where the law requires a separate consent (for example, for biometric verification), we ask for it separately. 1. Data operator
The operator of your personal data is OOO «Rentoff», Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan (the company operating the rentoff.uz platform). Contact for data matters: support@rentoff.uz. The operator has applied for registration of its personal-data bases in the State Register of Personal Data Bases of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
2. Data we collect
We collect the data you provide: name, phone number, email address, profile information; car listing details and photos you publish; booking and trip details. Automatically we collect technical data: device type, IP address, and app/website usage logs. Where identity verification is enabled, we also collect identity documents, a selfie, and liveness-check data — including biometric facial data — on the basis of your separate consent.
3. Why we use it
We use your data to operate the platform: create and manage accounts, publish listings, process bookings, verify identities, process payments and refunds, prevent fraud, provide customer support, and meet legal obligations (including tax and accounting records). We do not sell your personal data.
4. Legal basis
We process your data on the basis of your consent, the performance of the rental-service contract (the public offer), and our legal obligations under the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, including the Law ‘On Personal Data’. Where biometric verification is enabled, biometric data is processed only with your separate consent.
5. Who we share data with
We share data only where needed to provide the service: cloud infrastructure providers that host the platform (application hosting and database); identity-verification providers (such as Sumsub), where verification is enabled — they receive document images, selfies and liveness data under their own terms; the acquiring bank that processes payments (Octobank — integration in progress); state identification services (OneID), where enabled; and state authorities where required by law. We do not transfer data to other third parties for their own marketing.
6. Storage and retention
The platform runs on cloud infrastructure (application hosting and database services) whose servers may be located outside the Republic of Uzbekistan; your data may therefore be processed outside Uzbekistan. We keep account and booking data for as long as your account is active and for the periods required by law afterwards. Identity-verification data is retained by the verification provider under its own policy. You may ask us to delete your data as described in section 7.
7. Your rights
Under the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan ‘On Personal Data’ you have the right to know what data we hold about you, to request correction of inaccurate data, to request deletion, and to withdraw your consent — including consent to biometric processing — at any time. To exercise these rights, write to support@rentoff.uz; we will respond within the time limits set by law.
8. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the platform is used. You can block cookies in your browser settings, but some features may stop working.
9. Security
We protect your data with technical and organizational measures: encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted employee access, and monitoring for unauthorized access. No method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute protection — but we work to keep your data safe and to notify you as required by law if a breach affects you.
10. Children
Rentoff is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children; if we learn that a child’s data was provided, we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the platform evolves — for example, when a new verification or payment provider is connected. The current version is always published at rentoff.uz/legal/privacy, and material changes will be announced on the platform.
