What do I need to rent a car?
A driver's license and registration on Rentoff are sufficient. For booking, identity verification (KYC) is also required — this is a one-time process and will speed up all your future bookings.
How long does KYC verification take?
Typically, after submitting documents, verification is completed quickly. Upload clear photos of the front of your driver's license and a selfie — blurry photos will prolong the verification process.
How is payment made?
Via Payme or Click — with a card in a few seconds. Money is debited upon booking confirmation and held on the platform until the rental ends, then transferred to the host.
What is a deposit, and is it refundable?
A deposit is a security against potential damage. It is not given to the host but is held on the platform. If the car is returned in the same condition as received, the deposit is fully refunded. The deposit amount is specified in each listing in advance; some cars do not require any deposit.
Will I get my money back if I cancel my booking?
This depends on the cancellation terms specified in the listing. Each listing has its own policy — read it before booking. The refundable portion will be automatically returned to your card.
What happens if the host rejects my booking?
The paid amount will be fully refunded — you don't need to do anything for this.
What if there's a malfunction with the car?
Immediately contact the host, then write to customer support. If you get stranded on the road, we will offer an alternative solution (replacement or refund) depending on the situation.
What is the fuel policy?
Standard rule: return at the same level as received. Most listings operate on the principle of «received with a full tank — returned with a full tank».
Can I rent a car as a foreign citizen?
Yes. You can pass verification with an international driver's license or your country's license.
What is the minimum rental period?
Each host sets it themselves — it's indicated in the listing. Most often, the minimum period is one day.
Can I take the car outside the city?
This depends on the host's rules. Most allow it, but read the restrictions in the listing beforehand and agree on long trips with the host.
